From the recording Short Stories
I kept a transistor radio under my pillow as a teen and listened to late night blues shows while pretending to be asleep. Along with the music broadcast by Shreveport stations KEEL and KOKA, this little radio introduced me to the music that greatly influenced my music.

Lyrics
He used to stay up late with the all-night radio
And catch those electric blues blowing down from Chicago
Oh he'd hear them playing, Muddy, Buddy, and B.B. too
They gave him a whole new point of view, now he's lost in the blues.
So he bought himself a guitar, and he bought a great big amp
He tried to sing like Muddy Waters, play like Lightning Sam
All night long he'd listen to those old blues from so long ago
They gave him a whole new attitude, now he's lost in the blues.
He's got a harmonica in his pocket, he takes it everywhere he goes.
He's got a mojo and a black cat bone, he's got blues on the radio
And they keep on playing, those sweet songs soft and low
They taught him everything he knew, now he's lost in the blues
He ain't crazy he's just lost in the blues.
