My Story
Rick Seale is not my 'real' name. The government knows me as Richard Elwood and my family calls me Ricky. In the 4th grade the kids called me Rickey El, but I now call myself Rick. I developed what talent I have in Central Louisiana where my love for Blues and Motown R&B led me to a community of very talented musicians who accepted me as an equal and greatly influenced my music and my life. I now 'work' in my studio near the Buffalo River with my dogs and ponies and, of course my 'five foot woman' and tech issue savior, Alicia (Thank You!).
I am fortunate to still be an active musician, since the late '60s, although my public appearances now are mostly for friends and my studio has replaced the festival stage. But performing and recording with Overton Owens, Hardrick Rivers and the Roques Blues Band, and, most recently Rick Woodward as the Hoodoo Papas are some of my most treasured musical memories.
