From the recording Short Stories
Every May, in Louisiana, the Bear Grass (Yucca) blooms in huge flowers. We are reminded then that it's our wedding anniversary and we reflect upon our years together. Country Folk moderately slow.

Lyrics
She laughs out loud for no reason, she rarely has nothing to say
She takes the words right out of my mouth, but words never get in our way.
We like to lay tight together, but sleep we prefer today
Still she's never lonely, she's got dogs and ponies and she lets me help with the hay.
Chorus: When the Bear Grass is blooming we remember our vows, promises we keep today.
But when I close my eyes the man I see is the one who stood with you that May
For the longest time we've been making it our way, hand in hand, day by day
As the years furry by, we barely noticed, it all seems like just yesterday,
it all seems like just yesterday.
I need her warm arms around me, she keeps me from trouble I'm told
She treats me like I'm the last man on Earth; together we'll never grow old.
Chorus
